DESCRIPTION:On September 28\, meet the artists at a reception held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. \nBack for the sixth consecutive year and in celebration of St. Thomas-Elgin Public Art Centre’s 50th anniversary\, IN VIEW OF THE ARTIST continues to be one of the most highly anticipated exhibitions. This exhibition celebrates the artist behind the work\, what the artist sees and creates\, “in their view”\, real or imagined.  It support the production of new artwork made in a variety of mediums\, including painting sculpture\, digital media\, photograph and mixed media.  Artworks are selected by a professional jury who consider originality\, creativity\, process and engagement as some of the criteria for inclusion in this exhibit.
